Since 1989 our Volunteers have been transporting persons affected by cancer to and from Primary Cancer Treatments. Our Volunteers provide an efficient, professionally run means of transport, free of charge to the clients while we support the Canadian Cancer Society's with our transportation program in the many areas of British Columbia.
Our Volunteers have driven over 13,500,000 Kms serving more than 850,000 client trips in British Columbia. The FCCP has services on Vancouver Island, the Interior, Prince George and Vancouver.
We are constantly looking for people who would like to give back to community, enjoy driving, and want to assist us in maintaining our program's commitment of offering Cancer Clients safe, comfortable transportation to and from their treatments.
There is no criteria to be affiliated with Freemasonry. Our team of volunteers men and women, come from all walks of life, each with their own reason and story why they want to give back. You are welcomed to join us as a Volunteer and be part of this most rewarding endeavor.
In the Lower Mainland, the Freemasons' Cancer Car program serves;
New Westminster, Burnaby, Richmond and Vancouver.
We pool as many as 4 persons in a car going to and from the treatment centres.
The program runs two shifts, each weekday:
6:45 am to about Noon
11:45 am to about 5:00 pm
Good, safe and courteous drivers are required to drive our late model vehicles. Our Lower Mainland dispatch centre is located near Cambie and Broadway as pinned below.
Our programs outside of the Lower Main Land operate in a manner suitable to the areas which are covered. Interested in any of those areas, phone, email, reply comment from this site or fill out an application and we will assure that someone gets in touch with you.
